About Software Rangers
We sell software – not ads and not data
(Free) software often comes with a hidden price: personal data, advertising, or an overflowing inbox. Before you can try an app, you first have to create an account, provide an email address, and agree to numerous terms and conditions.
With us, it’s different. The name Software Rangers was chosen deliberately: We see ourselves as reliable guardians in the digital world. We respect your privacy and act in the best interest of our users.
Data protection and respect for our customers
You can use any of our programs permanently for free. Simply download the free version, launch it, and get started! You don't need a user account and you don't have to enter an email address.
This also means: If you use our free software, you won't receive any newsletters, promotional offers, or endless marketing emails afterwards. We don't even have your email address.
There are also no ads in our free software. We also do not create user profiles, sell personal data, or track how you use our applications.
We do not fund ourselves through advertising or by trading data. Our business model: We sell software.
If you decide to purchase a paid version, only the information necessary for order process and payment will be processed.
At Software Rangers, privacy is not a feature you turn on after the fact. As diverse as our programs are, they all follow the same principle: Your data belongs to you.
Software with experience and principles
Software Rangers was founded in early 2025 by experienced software entrepreneur Hauke Duden. Back in the late 2000s, Hauke showed with Ocster Backup that even a complex topic like data backup can be solved simply and comprehensibly. He continues to pursue this standard with Software Rangers: developing software that performs exceptionally, is easy to use, and takes its users seriously.
Good software does not demand unnecessary data. It does not distract you with ads. It does not push anyone into a newsletter. And it does not make its money off its users' data.
This is our definition of fair software.
